June3,2016:Today, police said, about 93 kgs of pangolin scales were held from a person in Champhai town along Mizoram-Myanmar border.
The scales were recovered from one C Thanga yesterday and he was in prison.
As per the further information given by police, "The seized pangolin scales are worth around Rs 20 lakh in the local market and were suspected to be smuggled to China through Myanmar".
