Famous actress of Indian cinema, Helen Zairag Richardson was born on this day. She was born on 21 November 1938 in Burma. Her father was Anglo Indian and mother Burmese. She has a brother Roger and sister Jennifer. Her father died during the second world war. After the death of her father, her family settled in India in the year 1943.

Helen has done her studies in Kolkata but she could not study much because her mother did not have much income, so she gave up her studies at a very young age. Helen had two marriages. She was first married to film director PN Arora at the age of 16, their marriage lasted for sixteen years, after which the two divorced. Helen then met screenwriter Salim Khan. Although Salim was already married, he gave her the status of a second wife. She adopted Arpita after marriage. Whose marriage took place in 2014 in the Falaknuma Palace of Hyderabad with Ayush Sharma. In addition, Bollywood actors Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Alvira Khan Agnihotri are his step-children.

Helen's career began when she was nineteen when she got a big opportunity from the Bengali film Howrah Bridge. Popular dancer Kukku of the fifties introduced Helen to films. When she was thirteen, she had the opportunity to dance among dozens of group dance dancers. Helen gave her performance on many of the best songs of the popular singer of the decade, Geeta Dutt. She received her first Filmfare nomination as a supporting artist for the film Gumnaam. Helen has acted in many of the best and super hit films in Hindi cinema. She also emerged as the first item dance girl of Hindi cinema.
