New Delhi: From this year, the police is running a helicopter landing on the roof of the headquarters building i.e. Sardar Patel Bhavan. The building construction department has sent a letter to the Cabinet Secretariat urging the Ministry of Civil Aviation to take permission for the helicopter landing. A police headquarters building of 53504 square meters has been constructed in Patna at a cost of about three and a half crore rupees.
This 7-storey building has been constructed in a hi-tech manner. From here, there is a system of controlling law and order in any kind of disaster and environment. The building is equipped with a ten-day power backup. In addition, the building is completely earthquake resistant and has the ability to withstand earthquake tremors up to 9 Richter scale. The roof of the building has a helipad as well as a modern command centre. Preparations are now being made to take-off and landing from the roof of the building.
The building has a seating arrangement for all the rank of police officers of the state. Arrangements for monitoring the law and order of the entire state have been made from here. Apart from this, there is also an office zone, dormitory, dining hall, the room of the Chief Minister and the Home Secretary.
