Guntur: Pallada Hema Malini Reddy assumed charge as the chairperson of AP Women's Finance Corporation here on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, she said, she would strive for the empowerment of women and recalled that the government has started many welfare schemes for the upliftment of women.
Revenue Minister Dharmana Krishna Das said in his address that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is striving for women empowerment. CM is giving priority to all communities and filling nominated posts. The CM gave representation to women in the State Legislative Assembly and State Legislative Council besides filling 75 per cent jobs in industries with local people.
He reminded that village and ward secretariat and volunteer system was started to provide better services to the people. MP Mopidevi Venkata Ramanarao said that the government is filling 50 percent of the nominated posts with women. He felt happy on the appointment of Hema Malini Reddy as the Chairman of AP Women's Finance Corporation. MLA Madali Giridhar Rao, Mustafa, Women and Child Welfare Project Director Kritika Shukla, Guntur RDO Bhaskar Reddy were also present on the occasion.
