He is none another than Amar Upadhyay now you get it. The popular television actor Amar Upadhyay is now playing Vikram Singh Chauhan's dad on the upcoming show 'Ek Deewana Tha'.

When the actor is asked about playing the father of an actor who is old enough to be his younger brother, and Amar replied "Well, I have been in the industry for too long to reject a role just for that reason. I am playing a negative character and it's one of the most important roles on the show. I may not look convincing as a father, but the younger actors were already cast when they approached me. I enjoy doing dark, negative roles now." On why he took to doing dark roles, he tells us, "They get you more recognition. You become the face of the show. What more can you ask for?" Interestingly, the actor says that his children, Chenab and Aryaman, are not too fond of his negative roles. "My children wonder why I am doing these roles. They are more proud of my Mihir Virani type of characters."
