Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh is one of the much anticipated film of the year. The teaser of the film was released recently and fans showed love on the actor. Kabir Singh is the official Bollywood remake of Arjun Reddy which starred Vijay Deverakonda and was a massive hit in his career. fans have started comparing the two teasers and voiced out their opinion. But Kabir Singh actor Shahid Kapoor has a different perspective about the characters.

On the comparison with Vijay, the actor told Mid-day,  "Vijay Devarakonda was spectacular in the film. If you ask me, Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy are cousins; they are not the same person. Talking about the characterisation of his role, the Udta Punjab  further added,"The family and upbringing of the character has changed. However, we have retained the fundamental energy of the character. We are trying to make it raw. The role required latent rage as the protagonist is full of angst. It wasn’t easy to internalize that rage."

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Arjun Reddy was a blockbuster Interestingly, Arjun Reddy is being remade in Tamil as well. The Tamil version stars Dhruv.
