Mumbai: A different sight was seen in Washim, Maharashtra on Thursday morning. Loudspeakers were removed from mosques here. There has been a decrease in the number of people who offer prayers in mosques without loudspeakers. In such a situation, it has now been decided to go door-to-door in the Muslim premises to wake people up for Namaz. Not only this, the Moazzan (the person giving the azaan) has to call everyone from his phone and ask them to come to Namaz. Actually, there has been a controversy regarding loudspeakers in Maharashtra.

After Raj Thackeray's ultimatum, loudspeakers have been removed from most of the mosques in the state. In fact, Raj Thackeray had announced that if the loudspeakers were not removed from the mosques, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena workers would recite Hanuman Chalisa on the loudspeakers in front of the mosques. Let us tell you that loudspeakers have been removed from mosques in Washim, Maharashtra.

Not only this, police force has also been deployed outside the mosques in large numbers so that there should not be any kind of dispute. In such a situation, azaan is being done in mosques without loudspeakers. In Washim's Karanja too, mosques had azaan without a mike. Where the sound of Ajan does not reach, people are being picked up from house to house. Waseem Shaikh, who gave the azaan, said that ever since the azaan was stopped in the loudspeaker, there has been a slight decrease in the number of people offering Namaz. Police said that the order of the Supreme Court is being followed in every mosque. According to the police, there is a situation of peace in the city.
