Janhvi Kapoor's second film is a biopic based on IAF officer Gunjan Saxena. This is her second film after Dhadak in which she shares screen space alongside Pankaj Tripathi. The actor plays Janhvi's father in the film. They recently wrapped the Lucknow schedule of the film.
The film is currently titled as Kargil Girl. When asked about working with Janhvi Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi told Pinkvilla that he enjoyed working with her. Tripathi said, "Janhvi is an absolute treasure of talent and very promising, she is hardworking and respects everyone on the set a lot. She is full of energy and keeps herself occupied gaining knowledge about the craft from everyone around while on sets."
"In fact, she doesn't have any starry tantrums and I must say that we have a great bonding. She orders local delicacies like lassi and biryani and insists me to eat," added Pankaj Tripathi.
About his experience of shooting with her for the film, the Sacred Games actor said, "I have loved my time with her on sets and enjoyed sharing screen space with her. I am playing father to her in the film and on sets; she gives me that kind of respect which is admirable."

Based on the life of an Indian Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena, Kargil Girl tells the story of the first ever Indian woman to fly into a combat zone. She had evacuated injured soldiers in the 1999 Kargil war. She was later honoured with the Shaurya Chakra.
