According to Hero MotoCorp's CEO, Niranjan Gupta, the company aims to lead the electric two-wheeler segment and is working towards making its EV portfolio more robust. Currently, the Vida V1 Pro is the only electric scooter offered by the company, but Gupta confirmed that new affordable models will be launched in the first half of 2025.
Hero MotoCorp is not only focusing on the domestic market but also plans to debut its electric scooter range in international markets. The company has already made a significant impact with the launch of Vida, its sub-brand dedicated to electric vehicles. The Vida V1 electric scooter is priced between Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh, making it an attractive option in the electric two-wheeler segment.
However, Hero MotoCorp faces stiff competition from other players in the market, including Ola Electric and Ather Energy, whose scooters are priced similarly. Despite this, Hero MotoCorp is confident of strengthening its position in the electric segment with the launch of new models.
