New Delhi: Hero MotoCorp announced on Tuesday that starting April 5, the pricing of its motorcycles and scooters will rise by up to Rs 2,000. The price adjustment was necessary to partially offset the impact of rising commodity prices, according to the country's top two-wheeler manufacturer.

The exshowroom pricing of the company's complete product range will be revised upward. The price rise will be up to Rs 2,000, with the actual amount depending on the model and market.

A spike in input costs has prompted a number of businesses, including Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz, to announce price increases beginning next month.
