The gold reserves found in Sonbhadra in Uttar Pradesh are now in discussion all over the world. But do you know that there is a place of gold in Bihar too, but it is almost impossible to extract gold from there. Actually, there is a mysterious door, which no one has been able to open till today. Many times an attempt was made to open it, but each time a failure took place. This repository of gold is inside a cave in Rajgir, Bihar, which is said to have hidden the prized treasure of the Emperor of Magadha Empire, the Mauryan ruler Bimbisara, which no one has discovered till date. It is also known as 'Son Bhandar'.

Rajgir was the capital of Magadha in ancient times. At this, Lord Buddha gave the sermon to Bimbisara. The city is particularly known for the monuments associated with Lord Buddha. Though some people also refer to this treasure as that of the former Magadha emperor Jarasangha, there is more evidence that this treasure belongs to Bimbisara, because at some distance from this cave are the remains of the prison, where Ajatashatru gave his father Bimbisara. Was kept in captivity.

A large room comes before Son Bhandar enters the cave. It is said that this room was made for the soldiers guarding the treasure. There is a way to reach the treasure from the back wall of this room, whose door is closed with a stone door. No one has been able to open this door till date. There is something written in a conch script on one of the walls of the cave, which has not been read till date. It is said that the way to open the treasure door is written in it, but people around the world have failed to read this script. Some people also believe that the way to reach the treasures of Bimbisara goes through the Vaibhavagiri mountain sea to the Saptaparni caves, which reach the other side of the Son Bhandar cave. It is said that the British once tried to break the door of the treasure with a cannon, but they could not break it.
