New Delhi: After Friday's shootout in Delhi's Rohini court, the possibility of a gang war in Delhi jails seems to be on the rise. In view of this, an alert has been sounded in all jails of Delhi. This includes Tihar, Mandoli and Rohini jails. Security has been beefed up in all Tihar jails following the killing of Jitendra alias Gogi in the courtroom. Officials have held a meeting especially on the security of Mandoli jail.

Sunil Mann alias Tillu, who is lodged in the high-security jail of Mandoli jail in the murder of Jitendra alias Gogi, is coming to light. The jail superintendent has been directed to review Tillu's safety and if required he can be sent to another jail. The shootout at Rohini court was reportedly planned at Mandoli jail in Tihar. Gangster Jitendra alias Gogi's known enemy Sunil Mann alias Tillu Tajpuria is also lodged in the same jail. He has been lodged in the high-security ward of Mandoli jail. Police suspect that the entire plan to kill Gogi was hatched in Mandoli jail itself. Not only Tillu but many of his henchmen are also imprisoned there.

Official sources in the jail say that even after not killing in the jail premises if such an incident takes place, the confrontation between the members of the anti-gang in the jail increases. In such a situation, steps are taken by the jail administration in view of the apprehension of any untoward incident. The incident was followed by an emergency meeting of jail authorities on Friday.
