New Delhi: Ahead of the Independence Day, R.Pandey,SSP Poonch on increased security arrangements in Jammu &Kashmir's Poonch stated to the reporters that the hilly state on high alert mode  and hope this Independence day will pass peacefully.

“We stay in high alert mode ahead of #IndependenceDay & 26 Jan. Our coordination with intelligence agencies is good & we act accordingly on inputs we get from them. Hope Aug 15 passes peacefully: ahead of Aug 15”, R.Pandey told reporters.

On the other hand intelligence agencies have reportedly issued an alert in links with a suspicious man in the national capital New Delhi who was spotted wearing sports shoes along with IAF uniform at Connaught Place.  As per reports, retired Indian Air Force personnel reportedly spotted the doubtful man after realizing that something was wrong with his attire as he was wearing sports shoes with the official uniform. The suspect was after flagged down near Rajiv Chowk Metro station by the cops in New Delhi. However, the suspect was carrying a bag and reportedly ran away from the spot. Following the incident, cops have launched an organized search to walk off with the suspect, sources said. An alert of the utmost category has been issued by the intelligence agencies in regards to the incident.
