Ranchi: Rahul Gandhi has got a big blow from the Jharkhand High Court. In fact, the High Court has withdrawn the relief granted to Rahul Gandhi in the defamation case filed for making derogatory remarks on Home Minister Amit Shah. The High Court says that Rahul Gandhi himself does not want us to hear his case. The Jharkhand High Court, while providing relief to Rahul Gandhi in May 2022, had said that no punitive steps should be taken against Rahul in the defamation case.

The High Court continued to pursue its order throughout the year:–

After this, the Jharkhand High Court extended the term of this order many times to give relief to Rahul, in this process a full year passed. However, last week the court's patience ran out when Rahul Gandhi's lawyer appeared in the court and asked that he be given some more time for the hearing. Commenting sharply on this, the High Court said that it seems that Rahul Gandhi does not want us to hear his case. Along with this, the court also withdrew the security cover given to Rahul a year ago.

Amit Shah was called a murderer :-

Let us tell you that a defamation case was filed against Rahul Gandhi in the Chaibasa court of Jharkhand. Rahul is accused of calling the then BJP chief Amit Shah a murderer in a 2018 meeting. While in the 302 case, Amit Shah was acquitted by the court in 2014. A complaint was lodged against Rahul Gandhi by a person named Pratap Kumar. After that the Chaibasa court had issued summons under section 500 of the IPC.

Rahul Gandhi himself had filed a petition in the High Court:-

Rahul Gandhi had filed a petition in the Jharkhand High Court against the summons of the Chaibasa court. He said that his statement did not cause any harm to the complainant. So they cannot file a case against him. Rahul also said that the statement he made against Amit Shah was not in any public meeting, but in an indoor meeting of the All India Congress Committee. Let us inform that in the case of remarks against Rahul Gandhi on Amit Shah itself, a magistrate court of Ranchi had also issued summons. The decision on the petition challenging this has been reserved.
