Prayagraj: Recently, an Allahabad High Court judge had demanded that the cow be declared a 'national animal.' Allahabad High Court Judge Justice Shekhar Kumar Yadav had quoted experts as saying that the cow is the only animal that takes and releases oxygen. He had also mentioned that adding cow ghee to the Yagya causes rain and removes serious diseases from Panchagavya.

Adding cow ghee to Yagya causes rain:-
In a 12-page judgment in Hindi, Justice Shekhar Kumar Yadav said that it is customary in India to use ghee made from cow's milk in Yagya. This is because it gives special energy to the sun's rays, which eventually causes rain.

Panchgavya also cures diseases:-
According to the report received, Allahabad High Court Judge Shekhar Kumar Yadav said, "Cow's milk, curd, ghee, cow urine, and dung make Panchgavya. It also treats many improper diseases.''

Beef consumption is not a fundamental right:-
In fact, the High Court judge made the remarks in a case related to the trial of a 59-year-old man who was detained from Sambhal district of UP on charges of cow slaughter in March this year. Rejecting the criminal's bail plea, he had said that cows are part of India's culture and consumption of beef cannot be considered as a fundamental right of any person.
