One-Moto, a British company looking to get into the Indian electric mobility market, has announced the debut of the Electa, a high-speed electric scooter. The Electa electric scooter is marketed as a luxury model, with a price tag of Rs. 2 lakh (ex showroom). This is the company's third offering in India.

After the debut of Commuta and Byka in November, Electa is One-third Moto's high-speed scooter. All three devices will be supported by One App, which includes features such as geo-fenching, IoT, and Bluetooth, among others. Electa's 72V and 45A detachable lithium-ion battery, which can be charged to full capacity in four hours, is what sets it different. The electric scooter has a peak speed of 100 kmph and can go 150 kilometres before needing to be recharged thanks to a 4KW QS brushless DC Hub motor.

While the display is analogue, the Electa does come with hydraulic disk brakes on both wheels and optional chrome upgrades. There is also a three-year warranry on the motor, controller and battery.

The growing popularity of electric two-wheelers in India has enticed a slew of new companies into the market, and One-Moto intends to seize the possibilities that have arisen. "We are focusing on offering excellent goods to catalyse EV adoption in India," claims the company "One-Moto India's CEO, Shubhankar Chaudhry, states "The plan is to develop high-speed, high-quality premium items and start distributing them from major metro areas." We don't only want to offer Indian clients with scooters; we want to provide them with the same entire end-to-end experience they've had with ICE engines."

While the company's Electa model is now the most costly, Byka is priced at 1.80 lakh, and Commuta is the most inexpensive of the three at 1.30 lakh (all prices are ex showroom).
