Begusarai: In Bihar, a speeding truck trampled a young man riding a bike in Begusarai district. The young man died on the spot. Agitated family members and locals jammed NH 31. The incident is reported to be near Mahmadpur Chowk in Nagar police station area.

Jitendra Banjara, a resident of Madhya Pradesh, is said to have been a hawker in Begusarai.In morning he was going to sell a plastic tube by bike. In the meantime, the speeding truck crushed him and escaped. Jitendra Banjara died on the spot in the incident. On receiving the report of death , a large number of Jitendra ' s family members and locals jammed the NH and shouted slogans against the police.
People have alleged that road accidents take place near Mahmadpur and Khatopur every day, but the police are unable to take any concrete action. People have blocked the road demanding compensation to the family of the deceased. Police are currently on the scene and efforts are being made to convince people.
