The central government has announced the new education policy-2020 in accordance with international standards and is preparing its operation. According to the new education policy, higher education is being made to be a student center. Students will be allowed to have multiple entranceand exit for higher education at their discretion. They will be able to study any course anytime, anywhere. The University Grants Commission (UGC) is launching a new program called 'Academic Bank of Credits - (ABC) for the transfer of credits achieved by students in the courses.

Following the National Curriculum Framework, the new policy will allow students to pursue interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary courses in higher educational institutions in the country, and their credits to mutual transfers from their respective institutions.  Multiple entry and exit will be possible to learn from anywhere, anywhere, from any where, in the course of their studies, such as diploma, degree, and PG diploma. The study of multiple courses is possible to guide new ideas, creativity and innovation.

In any educational institution, you will have the flexibility to study in any of the courses and combinations of your choice. The opportunity to study their degrees in universities and autonomous colleges as they like. Students with multiple entry and multiple exits are self-time dictated to complete their courses.  Arrangements are made to provide teaching learning processes for academic mobility in a blended (online, offline) system by all educational institutions. Full time, part-time learning.

Students and educational institutions are stakeholders for the 'Academic Bank of Credits'. This bank is a digital, virtual, online storehouse that stores student credits. ABC Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) is like the 'National Academic Depot'. It is a dynamic website that is very useful for stakeholders in higher education. The ABC has been given the official recognition of the Ministry of Education and the University Grants Commission to maintain credit records of students of all higher education institutions. Students through ABC will be able to check the credits of the courses in the digital form through unique account and individual accounts.  ABC credits accredited educational institutions. According to the UGC and the Central Ministry guidelines, the credits are valid. The credits of the students can be deposited in the ABC through the respective educational institutions. In addition to the self-platform of conducting offline and online courses, university and other institutions also deposit the student's credits in to ABC through their unique ID number account. Credits for courses studied in educational institutions abroad are also available in ABC.

ABC will now provide the security of credits for all higher education courses recognized by the UGC. University recognition, opportunity for autonomous colleges only. They should also have the opportunity to register in ABC for at least any grade of recognized institutions from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAC). Audio visual facility, e-resources, virtual classrooms, studios, Internet connectivity, online courses and other infrastructure prescribed by government departments. The credits of engineering, medical, dental, law and other courses will be given the opportunity to deposit with the approval of the All India Technical Education Council, All India Medical Education Council and other departments.
