Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, even after his retirement, remains a significant taxpayer, paying Rs 28 crore in taxes, securing third place among cricketers. His income primarily comes from endorsements and investments, showcasing his lasting influence in Indian sports.
Sourav Ganguly, Hardik Pandya, and Rishabh Pant Among Top Contributors
Sourav Ganguly, another cricket icon who has moved into administrative roles, paid Rs 23 crore in taxes, placing him fourth among cricketers. His continued involvement in Indian cricket, both as a commentator and administrator, keeps him relevant.

Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay secured second place on the celebrity taxpayers list, contributing Rs 80 crore. His success in the South Indian film industry has fueled his financial growth.
Bollywood actor Salman Khan, despite a quieter year at the box office, paid Rs 75 crore, reflecting his enduring presence in the industry through business ventures and television appearances. Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan followed closely with Rs 71 crore in taxes, boosted by his recent film success.
Other notable taxpayers in Bollywood include Ajay Devgn with Rs 42 crore, Ranbir Kapoor at Rs 36 crore, and Hrithik Roshan with Rs 28 crore. Comedian Kapil Sharma paid Rs 26 crore, while Bollywood stars Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor contributed Rs 20 crore and Rs 14 crore, respectively.
In the South Indian film industry, superstars Mohanlal and Allu Arjun both paid Rs 14 crore. Bollywood actors Kiara Advani and Pankaj Tripathi also made significant contributions, with Rs 12 crore and Rs 11 crore in taxes, respectively. Aamir Khan rounded out the list with a Rs 10 crore payment.
