As the family mourns Alec Baldwin's accidental shooting death on set, Hilaria Baldwin's Mom Brain podcast has been cancelled. Hilaria, 37, and Daphne Oz's Mom Brain podcast hasn't aired since December 2020, after fans accused the mother of six of lying about her background and faking her Spanish accent in interviews.

As of June 2, 2021, the Mom Brain trademark is no longer active, according to The Sun. The trademark has been "abandoned" by Vaynerstudios, LLC and The Gallery Media Group. The Sun received trademark documentation that claims the office "did not receive a response to the earlier Office action within the six-month response time." Meanwhile, Hilaria has also removed Mom Brain from her Instagram bio.

The cultural appropriation controversy erupted after a Twitter user published a clip from Hilaria's April 2020 podcast in which she claimed, "I moved here when I was 19 to go to NYU." "My family is from Spain." She was born in Mallorca, Spain, where her parents now reside, according to her Creative Artists Agency profile. The agency eventually removed her "birthplace" from her bio. Hilaria then claimed to have been born in Boston, despite the fact that she is listed as an alum of the Cambridge School and Weston School in Massachusetts, and old classmates have come forward to declare they attended to high school with Hilaria, whose true name is Hillary Hayward-Thomas.

Meanwhile, after the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, Hilaria Baldwin has spoken out. In the wake of the tragedy, Hilaria took to Instagram to express her condolences to Hutchins' family as well as her husband. 'My heart is with Halyna,' Hilaria wrote. Her son and her hubby. Their loved ones and relatives. "As well as my Alec."
