New Delhi: Recently, the silver medal won in the 4x400m competition was upgraded to gold by India's mixed relay team at the Asia Games-2018 held in Jakarta. Now Hima Das, a member of this team, has dedicated this gold medal to Corona Warriors, which includes doctors, police officers as well.

On Twitter Hima Das wrote, "I would like to dedicate my upgraded gold medal of 4x400 mixed relay event of Asian Games 2018 to police, doctors and all other Coronawarriors who are working selflessly in these difficult times of Covid-19 to ensure our safety and good health. Respect for all #CoronaWarriors" Those who are selfless are taking care of our safety and health in the difficult times of this corona epidemic. Honor to all Corona Warriors. ' Let us tell you that the silver medal won by India's mixed relay team at the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia's capital, Jakarta, was converted into gold.

The Athletics Federation of India (AFI) issued a statement on Thursday, giving information in this regard. The Indian team of Mohammed Anas, MR Poovamma, Hima Das, Arokia Rajiv finished second in the four times 400 mixed relay. Bahrain was on top, but Kemi Adekoya, a member of that team, has been given a four-year suspension after the Athletics Integrity Unit failed in the dope test. Because of which this gold medal was snatched from them and India's silver medal was converted into gold.
