The operation of buses in Himachal Pradesh has been started from 6 am on Monday following the decision of the Jairam Cabinet. Himachal Pradesh Transport Corporation (HRTC) is going to operate its buses day and night on 1004 routes on the first day out of a total of 4000. The restriction of covid curfew is not going to be applicable to transport service. The corporation is going to increase the number of routes as per the demand of the riders. However, private bus operators have decided not to run buses in protest against non-full waiver of special road tax and token tax.

On the other hand, taxi and maxi and private vehicles will be able to ply with 100 percent passengers. The corona curfew will continue from 5 pm to 5 am.
