Shimla: The education sector is having the most impact due to the Corona period. Meanwhile, the government will create a new Act to bring private schools in Himachal under the purview of Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission. Private schools cannot be brought under the purview of the Commission under the current Act. Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj said in his statement that the government is very serious about this matter. This act will be brought soon and continuous work is going on on it.

Tthey have complete information about this, what can come under the purview of the current commission. Private schools cannot participate in it under the present Act. Departmental officers will be asked to make proposals keeping in mind the Act. Meanwhile, the education department has prepared a proposal on the complaint of many private schools to collect fees arbitrarily and disrespect the orders of the government.

In this regard, the Education Minister said in his statement that a new Act is needed to keep the private schools under the purview of the Commission and keep a close watch on the government including their fees. Work will be started soon with this. The Education Minister reiterated that during the ongoing COVID-19, all private schools have been asked to collect only the tuition fees fixed last year. Everything is currently closed due to Corona.
