The Himachal government is constantly bringing new laws to improve the system, in which the government has imposed one-year imprisonment and fine of up to 50 thousand for selling unlicensed apple or other fruit plants or fruit. If a non-registered nursery is found, it will also be destroyed. The new nursery law has been implemented by the Himachal government. This law was made in the Virbhadra government 4 years ago, but its rules were not made. Now Jairam government has implemented it by making rules.

After the introduction of this law, neither will be able to sell Bud Wood and other plant materials. If a person has any kind of nursery or Bud Wood Bank at more than one place, then he has to register it separately. The license of the nursery and Bud Wood Bank will be valid for 5 years. After this, it will be necessary to renew. There will also be a provision for giving duplicate license in case of lost or destroyed license. Nursery growers and big wood owners will be able to appeal if the authority is reluctant to give license to anyone. Only a nursery man will be able to use root stock and species suggested by the authorized agency.
