Himachal Police Arrest Two Youths With Drugs in Kullu

On Wednesday evening, the Himachal Pradesh Police apprehended men travelling on a Haryana Roadways bus and recovered 51-gram of heroin from them. Two of the detained youths have been identified AS Rohit and Nikhil Dharmpur. Both of the youths are Mandi residents.

'We are questioning the arrested youngsters to understand where they obtained the narcotics from and where they were going to sell it,' said Kullu Superintendent of Police (SP) Gurudev Sharma. The police have also recovered about 51 grammes of heroin from the two, according to the SP.

'We got inputs that two youths travelling in a Haryana Roadways bus were carrying narcotics and the two were heading to Manali,' said another police officer stationed in Kullu. After receiving the intelligence, a special investigative team from the Kullu district police, together with local cops, set up a makeshift checkpoint. 'We found 51 grammes of heroin during our search,' the officer stated.

The Himachal Pradesh Police Department is working to put an end to the state's drug mafia. Last month, the Kullu Police detained a young man and confiscated 70 grams of heroin from him. He was apprehended at the Kullu bus station.. The special investigation team of the district police had received intelligence input regarding a youth carrying heroin and was planning to sell the consignment in Manali.
