Shimla: Himachal Pradesh goes to polls on November 12 and the results on December 8 will open the way for the new government to power. In Himachal, even though the BJP is playing on the front foot, it does not want to take a risk at all in this hill state. BJP chief JP Nadda has given strict instructions to party workers and leaders that whoever gets the ticket, everyone should work together to feed the lotus. Party sources have said that the top leadership is very focused on ticket distribution in Himachal. It is also being told that the card of at least 12 sitting MLAs can be thrown out.

Sources are telling that Congress has decided the names of about 35 candidates for the assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh. It is yet to be announced. A meeting of the Congress screening committee has also been held for the distribution of tickets. However, the BJP, on the other hand, is yet to start the formal process for this. It is believed that the high command can cut tickets of many sitting MLAs this time.

Now that the dates of assembly elections have been announced and the last date for nomination is October 25. The BJP is likely to announce the names of its candidates soon. Sources say that on the formula of 'no work ticket', the party can determine giving tickets to MLAs. MlAs whose areas do not have a good public response will be given back tickets, it is very unlikely.
