CM Jairam Thakur has made a new experiment in his third budget. Along with this, he reduced the budget spent on employees, pensioners, interest payments, loan repayment etc. This time, the budget to be spent on development has been increased, whereas CM Jairam Thakur has been able to do this because he has no electoral challenge this time like the previous budget. Along with this, the Fifteenth Finance Commission has given a substantial grant this time to meet the revenue deficit. At the same time, this deficit has also been reduced dramatically. If the total budget is Rs 100, then the salary of the employees was Rs 27.84 if compared to the budget of the current financial year 2019-20, in the next budget presented on Friday. Reduced to Rs 26.66. With this, the previous expenditure on pension was Rs 15, it was reduced to Rs 14.79 crore. The interest payment was Rs. 10.25 which has now been increased to Rs. 10.04. Along with this, the expenditure on loan repayment was reduced from Rs 7.35 to Rs 7.29.

With this, the budget for development works was earlier Rs 39.56, increased it to Rs 41.22. The number of jobs given is the same as in the previous budget. This time too, most of the state's budget is being spent on employees and pensioners. Along with this, a lot of budget is also going on loan repayment and interest, because the debt on the state has reached around 55000 crore rupees. At the same time, this time the government has kept the maximum budget in departments for education department. At the same time, it has increased by six percent from the last budget. Along with this, in addition to education, health, roads, drinking water, agriculture and garden etc. are also a priority in the budget. At present, some sections of workers, pensioners, temporary workers, workers, etc. have not been able to touch this budget, but the government has no option but to do so. Despite this, the budget expenditure of the government has increased by ten percent for the next time. It will increase further by the end of the next financial year.

All the governments of Himachal have been accused of feeding ghee every time they take loans. With this, Chief Minister Jairam Thakur himself has shown concern about this when he takes power, but how can he suddenly bring a magic wand to leave this tradition. However, it has been helpful to reduce the expenses and get a good grant from the center. Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, while registering a complaint of not getting enough help from the previous finances, has also thanked the Central Government and its fifteenth Finance Commission for presenting a grant of Rs 19,309 crore for the year 2020-21 while presenting the budget on Friday. With the efforts of new Chief Secretary Anil Kumar Khachi who knows economics and new Principal Secretary Finance Prabodh Saxena, CM Jairam Thakur has presented the budget this time showing efficient financial management.
