Shimla: Amidst the uproar over the hijab across the country, the wearing of the hijab has been completely banned in educational institutions in Himachal Pradesh. In educational institutions of Himachal Pradesh, students will get entry only on the prescribed dress code. Schools in Himachal Pradesh are going to open on February 17. Earlier, Himachal Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur made this announcement.

The quality, credibility in the educational institutions should remain intact. He said that it is absolutely wrong to insist on wearing a hijab in educational institutions. I condemn it. He said that the Congress leaders are doing the politics of votes. The pseudo-secularisms are under the interpretation of this issue. Govind Singh further said that all educational institutions in Himachal Pradesh are now going to open from February 17. It has been made mandatory to follow the rules made to prevent the corona epidemic.
