Shimla: In Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh the Deputy Sarpanch has been selected even before the Panchayat election. The case is related to the newly formed Bambal Panchayat. The locals gathered at Shirgul Maharaj's temple and decided to put a slip. In which the names of the principal and the deputy's head were written. 

Many important decisions in the rural has been taken by the court. The total number of voters in the panchayat is about 700. Out of this, there are 400 voters in Bambal. On Monday, locals gathered in the courtyard in the village and met a member from every family in four villages of the panchayat. Two slips were kept. In one slip, the names of Guman Singh and Bishan Singh was written in another one.

A child picked up the slip. In which Guman Singh's name came in the first slip, and he was selected as the Sarpanch. The second slip was of Bishan Singh. He was selected Up-Sarpanch. Five ward members are also to be selected in the Bambal Panchayat. It was also entrusted to the principal and deputy chief. The meeting and the Dev Process were attended by people from every community of the four villages of Bambal Panchayat, Bandal, Kansal Laani, Bhadal, Awat, and the decision has been taken in the presence of the people.
