New Delhi: The general public seems to be quite upset with the remarks made by the judges after the Supreme Court's hearing in former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma's case. So far, while social media was only condemning the comments of those judges, there is now a demand to impeach them. A signature campaign is also going on on social media in this regard.
Vikas Pandey of the Hindu IT Cell, while giving information in this regard in his tweet, said, "I have prepared a petition which will be sent to the MPs. This is a step toward initiating impeachment proceedings against Justice Surya Kant and Justice JB Pardiwala. Sign the petition!'' Let us know that about 12,500 people have already signed the petition, which is being run on the www.change.org platform, by the time of writing the news. Addressing the MPs, the petition said, "All MPs, this is the beginning of impeachment against Justice Surya Kant and Justice JB Pardiwala.''
The petition has raised the issue of Nupur Sharma expressing concern over the situation in the country. It said that Nupur had moved the highest court in the country to club the complaints being made in different states in one place due to such a threat to life. However, when it was the turn of the hearing, the judges, without hearing the matter, held him solely responsible for inciting violence in the country and the murder of Kanhaiyalal in Udaipur.
The plea said that in such cases, only Islamic fundamentalists and anti-India forces like the Taliban get rid of them and Hindus are shown as bad by the national and international media. The Supreme Court has shown irresponsible behaviour. At the same time, such an illegal comment has been made without any facts. This is against the values and morals of the country. Therefore, the petition seeks the impeachment of both the judges.
Let us know that the support being received for this petition is showing how there is resentment among the people towards the comments of the judges of the Supreme Court. They are supporting this campaign and questioning why even the Taliban have supported the Supreme Court? Why has the court opened in the middle of the night for terrorists? There is anger among the people that the judiciary has thus been made a mockery by commenting on a woman's petition.
