Bangalore: Amid the ongoing controversy over the disputed Gyanvapi complex and Qutub Minar in Varanasi, a demand for a survey of Tipu Sultan's palace has come to the fore. The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has alleged that Tipu Sultan's palace in Bengaluru has been built by occupying the temple land. The committee has demanded a survey of the palace.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti spokesperson Mohan Gowda has alleged that the Tipu sultan's palace in Bengaluru has been built by occupying the temple land. He has said that it is said that the land where Tipu Sultan's palace is built belonged to the Venkataramana Swamy temple. According to Mohan Gowda, this land was forcibly occupied during the reign of the Tipu Sultan. He said that some people say that the teaching of the Vedas was given at that place. In such a situation, on behalf of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, I demand a survey of this land and handing it over to its actual owners.

He said that the Venkataramana Swamy temple was constructed in the 15th century. The controversy over religious places in India is not new. But recently there has been a dispute in the country over Gyanvapi Mosque, Mathura Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi dispute, Taj Mahal and Qutub Minar. The Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi was recently surveyed following a court order. It is being claimed that the Shivling has been found here. The case is being heard in the district court of Varanasi.
