Pinki Chaudhary surrenders in Jantar Mantar hate speech case

New Delhi: Bhupendra Tomar alias Pinki Chaudhary, who is absconding in an inflammatory sloganeering case at Jantar Mantar in the country's capital Delhi, surrendered on Tuesday. Pinki Chaudhary along with hundreds of his supporters reached the temple Marg police station in Delhi. After the police station, his supporters welcomed him with garlands. Delhi Police will now arrest Pinki Chaudhary in the case.

On Monday, Pinki Chaudhary talked about surrendering. Pinki had said he had not said anything wrong, saying he was confident in court. Pinki has said many times that he didn't say anything wrong. In fact, on August 8, during an event at Jantar Mantar, alleged provocative slogans were raised against the Muslim community. Hindu Raksha Dal leader Pinki Chaudhary was also present. Acting on the case, the police had also arrested BJP leader and lawyer Ashwini Upadhyay. Ashwini was there at the time of sloganeering. However, he was later granted bail by the court.

Vinod Sharma, Deepak Singh, Deepak, Vineet Kranti, Preet Singh were also arrested in the case. Meanwhile, Pinki Chaudhary had been absconding since the incident. Investigations so far have revealed that a total of 8 cases have been registered against Pinki Chaudhary in Noida and Ghaziabad.
