Kabul: The fear that prevailed after the Taliban's occupation of Afghanistan seems to be slowly improving. The latest example has been seen in Kabul, the capital of the country. There, Hindus (minority communities) performed kirtan and Jagrata on the auspicious occasion of Navratri. On Tuesday, Hindus performed kirtan and night vigil at the Asamai Temple in Kabul. Some videos of the same have also surfaced, which are said to be from the Asamai temple.

According to reports, Ram Sharan Singh, chairman of the management committee of the Asamai temple in Kabul, said he had organized Kirtan and Jagran as well as Bhandara, which provided food to the needy. About 150 people attended the event, including Sikhs along with Hindus living in Afghans. These Hindus and Sikhs have also requested the Government of India to expel them from Afghanistan at the earliest.

These people say that the Afghan economic situation is not perfect right now and they are facing many problems. This temple is located 4-5 kilometres away from the 'Do Parwan' Gurudwara located in Kabul itself. The Karat Parwan Gurudwara was vandalised by Taliban militants last week.
