A college going 17 year old student was hit by a car on Marine Drive in Mumbai  eventually causing her death.

Saylee Rajput, a resident of Kandivali went for an outing with her friend Rashmi on chowpaty near  Marine Drive when an uncontrollable car came abruptly towards her and struck her, by the time she was rushed to a nearby hospital, she was stated dead due to severe head injuries.

Saylee’s father was informed right after the Accident, he works at a firm in Borivali and rushed to the hospital immediately but unfortunately by the time he reached , the doctors had given their answers.

Rohan Prasad (Driver) works for a  car dealership in Prabhadevi, he was arrested by the Police under IPC Section 279 and 304 A for Rash Driving and inattention.

Rohan was later bailed for 15,000 rupees.

Saylee is the second person to be killed at the same spot near taraporwala aquarium in Mumbai.

“ It was not my fault, the signals stopped working by the time she was on the road and then I couldn’t stop the car”says, Prasad.

Saylee's family is still in shock of the incidence.

The Mumbai police said they will check the CCTV cameras for further detailed and then take action.
