As per report, the explosion in the car occurred right at the moment when a CRPF convoy of 10 vehicles was passing from the side. All the personnel escaped unhurt. The private car reportedly was on way to Jammu from Srinagar when the suicide squad member of Hijbul Mujaheddin tried to ram the car into the convoy.  The explosion created panic in the area as it was similar to what happened on February 14 in Pulwama when a vehicle laden with explosives rammed into a CRPF convoy resulting in 40 personnel losing their lives. After the blast, the police had acted swiftly and a team of experts was rushed to check if the blast was deliberate.
