Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India records 3% increase in Dec sales

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) recorded a 3% increase on Monday in its total sales in December 2020 at 2,63,027 units. According to HMSI, the company had sold total 2,55,283 units in December 2019. The company also added that it recorded a growth of 5% in the domestic sales which was at 2,42,046 units last month as compared to 2,30,197 units in December 2019.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India  said, "Signalling to demand recovery continuing post the festival season, Honda's two-wheeler YoY (year-on-year) sales uptick continued for the fifth consecutive month in December as well." HMSI Director – Sales & Marketing, Yadvinder Singh Guleria said that we enter 2021 with a new hope. The company received positive sales after a long time in the 3rd quarter. He further said, "With multiple brand new and exciting offerings in the pipeline, Honda will delight riders across categories with new Joy of Riding."

HMSI said, "The October–December quarter stood out as the first quarter of positive YoY sales for Honda. Honda's third-quarter domestic sales increases by 5% on a Year-on-Year basis to 11,49,101 units in Q3, FY'21 from 10,91,299 units in the same period last year."
