Hockey India has asked state associations, institutional members and academies to submit a bid to host the annual national championship in 2021. For the first time departments and academies have also been invited to host. Only state associations can host senior and junior national championships.

May 11 is the last date to show interest in hosting. Institutional and departmental members can host the men's and women's interdepartmental national championships at senior and junior levels. The deadline for this is five June. The academy can only host sub junior and junior inter academy national championships.
