Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has declared a public holiday on Holi. On March 18 and 19, there will be a holiday of Holi in the state. March 20 is a Sunday, that day will also be a weekly off. In this way, the government employees of UP will get leave for a total of three days i.e. on March 18, 19 and 20. Principal Secretary General Administration Jitendra Kumar issued the order.

According to the order issued by the state government, "Holi will be celebrated on March 19 along with March 18, so both the days will be holidays." In fact, Holi will be celebrated for two days this year. In some places, preparations are to celebrate Holi on March 18, while in some places Holi will be played on March 19. This year Holika Dahan will be performed on March 17 and a day later i.e. on March 18, Holi of colours will be played. However, at some places, Holika Dahan will be performed on March 18. Due to this, Holi will be played on March 19, but in most places  Holi will be celebrated on March 18. Preparations for this have begun.

Holika Dahan will be performed on Thursday this year i.e. March 17, 2022. The auspicious muhurat of Holika Dahan puja will be from 9.20 am to 10.31 pm. In such a situation, people will get only about an hour's time to worship Holika Dahan.
