In Uttar Pradesh's Allahabad Sangam, the traditional bathing of Mauni Amawasya has began and in view of it security arrangements are done. Early morning, all the devotees has started taking bath at Sangam and at other 18 ghats.

During the magh month, Mauni Amawasya is considered as the most auspicious bathing day. For the Pilgrims, the Railway and UP roadway has also done special arrangements.

For the smooth conduction of auspicious bath, District authorities has also done preparation. More than 3,000 police and paramilitary personnel have been positioned and even Anti Terrorist Squad and water police unit is also deployed.
