According to the new directive issued by the government on Wednesday, shops will be able to open from 7 am to 3 pm. However, the working hours of the banks will be from 9 am to 1 pm. Home delivery of alcohol will also be possible from Thursday.

According to the instructions issued by the Home Department regarding this matter, all district administrations will take steps to prevent social distance and congestion during the time of opening of shops. It is noteworthy that during the Cabinet meeting on 2 May on behalf of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, the shops were allowed to keep the shops open from 9 am to 1 am, while changing the time for relaxation in curfew. This decision has been changed on Wednesday. Earlier, the government had set the curfew relaxation time from 7 am to 11 am.
