Winter season is one of the best seasons in India we all love winter but one of the most irritating thing about the winter season is cold and cough. Kadha plays a very significant role in India. It is the best remedy for all diseases. Kadha is a traditional Indian drink, often consumed as a chai or tea and is considered to be effective against cough and cold and seasonal flu. Made with Indian herbs and spices, Kadha is a natural immunity booster and is said to be the best remedy against fever and sore throat. In winter it is very important to keep your body warm in order to increase your immunity and fight against cough and cold and various other viral disease here isa easy recipe of kadha and if you will have this kadha daily then it will increase or boost your immunity and help you to enjoy winter season without getting worried about the diseases.

Ingredients

2 cups of water

1 inch of peeled ginger

4-5 cloves, 5-6 black pepper

5-6 fresh basil leaves

½ tsp honey

2 inch cinnamon stick.

Mulethi ( optional)

·        Take water in a deep saucepan and boil it.

·        In the meantime, crush ginger, cloves, black pepper and cinnamon in a mortar and

·        pestle.

·        Once the water is boiled, add all the crushed ingredients along with basil leaves to the

·        saucepan.

·        Cook on medium heat for about 20 minutes or till the quantity is reduced to half.

·        Strain it in glass and add honey.

·        Your homemade kadha is ready.

Tips

·        Adding too much ginger can cause heartburn

·        Avoid consuming Kadha during fasting as it is harmful.

·        Adding a large amount of black pepper in Kadha can lead to burn.

·        Do not add too much spices in card is it will cause problem in your stomach.
