'Free electricity connection to all people of J&K': Says Amit Shah

Srinagar: Home Minister Amit Shah is currently on a visit to Jammu and Kashmir. He has arrived in Jammu and Kashmir on a three-day visit and today is the second day of his visit. Addressing a rally here today, he said, "He has come to Jammu today to say that the time for injustice to the people of Jammu is over, no one can do injustice to you now. The era of development that is beginning here is being disturbed, disrupted, but no one will be able to disturb the age of development.''

At the same time, he said, "There was a time when there were only five but four medical colleges in Jammu and Kashmir, but today seven new medical colleges have been set up here. Earlier, 500 students could MBBS from here, now about 2,000 students will be able to MBBS here. He further said, "Earlier, Sikhs, Khatris, Mahajan did not have the right to buy land in Jammu. The refugees who came here from there did not have rights, Valmiki, Gurjar brothers did not have rights. All the powers of the Constitution of India are now going to go to these brothers of mine.''

At the same time, he said, "On August 5, 2019, Prime Minister Modi took a historic decision and scrapped Articles 370 and 35A. This gave rights to lakhs of people of Jammu and Kashmir. At the same time, now all the rights of the Indian Constitution are being given to all the people here. In the meantime, he made a big announcement saying, "Free electricity connections will be given to all the people of Jammu and Kashmir.''
