Home Minister Amit Shah likely to visit Dehradun on October 30

On October 30, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will pay a visit to Dehradun, according to Uttarakhand Minister Dhansingh Rawat.

Addressing a press meet, Rawat said, "On October 30, Amit Shah will launch the state government's ambitious 'Mukhyamantri Ghasiyari Kalyan Yojana' at Bannu School in Dehradun."  Rawat said at a press conference.

Following the launch, Shah will address a public meeting and inaugurate the PACS computerization after releasing the departmental magazine "Sahakar Se Samridhi." The Union Home Minister's programme will be broadcast live across the state in 670 Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and 292 cooperative banks.

"Instructions on the preparations for the Home Minister's programme have been given to officials from the district administration, police, and cooperative departments," Rawat said. Rawat further said, "The 'Mukhyamantri Ghasiyari Kalyan Yojana' aims to relieve the burden of over three lakh rural women in the state who live in mountainous areas. Packaged silage (safe green fodder) and complete mixed animal feed will be delivered to their homes under this programme." He stated that the Chief Minister Ghasiyari Kalyan Yojana would be implemented in four hilly districts of Pauri, Rudraprayag, Almora, and Champawat in the first phase, after which the scheme would be implemented in the rest of the state.
