Home Minister Amit Shah to address countrymen on Hindi Diwas

New Delhi:14th September is observed as Hindi Diwas every year in India. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address the countrymen today on the occasion. As per the information received from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the broadcast will be held at 10.30 am on DD National. The Hindi Diwas celebrations are not being held this year due to corona pandemic.

On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, Rajbhasha Kirti and Rajbhasha Gaurav Awards are being held by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India for outstanding work in central government offices, ministries, undertakings and banks etc. Earlier these awards were distributed during the function, but this time it will not be held due to the global pandemic coronavirus.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for medical examination late last Saturday night. Amit Shah was found to coronavirus positive on August 2, after which he was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. At present, Home Minister Amit Shah is reported stable.
