Home Minister Amit Shah wishes everyone a happy Govardhan Puja

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah wished people a happy Govardhan Puja on Friday. "To all, best wishes for 'Govardhan Puja.' Shri Krishna, I salute you! "Shah sent out a tweet. Mansukh Mandaviya, a Union Minister, also wished people well and prayed for their well-being.

"On Govardhan Pooja, a symbol of nature, environment, and livestock promotion, best wishes to all countrymen. I pray to Lord Krishna to relieve everyone's sufferings and to ensure everyone's well-being "he wrote in a tweet.  The day after Diwali, Govardhan Puja is observed.

Earlier,  On the occasion of Gujarati New Year, Union Home Minister Amit Shah sent greetings to the Gujarati people.  "To all of you, a very happy New Year!! Wishing you happiness, prosperity, security, and goodwill in the coming year...!! "Shah tweeted in Gujarati.

Govardhan Puja, also known as Annakut or Annakoot, is a Hindu festival during which devotees worship Govardhan Hill and prepare and offer Krishna a wide variety of vegetarian food as a token of their gratitude.
