New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs is seriously considering the appointment of members of 'Third Gender' or Trans Gender to the post of officer in Para Military Force. The Ministry of Home Affairs has sought detailed advice from ITBP, BSF, SSB and CRPF on various aspects related to this issue. If this draft of the Ministry of Home Affairs is implemented, then the transgender officers of India will be posted on the border with China. The ITBP handles surveillance along the border with India and China.

With this, they will compete with the Pakistan Army on the western border of the country. Not only this, members of third gender will also play an important role in the war against Maoism in internal parts of the country. The Ministry of Home Affairs has sought a detailed report from the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) on the matter. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, after the report in this regard, their appointment process will be suitably amended.

Let us tell you that a person who is not physically full male or female from birth is called bisexual or transgender or third gender. ITBP, BSF, SSB and CRPF are the security forces working under the Ministry of Home Affairs. They are deployed at important strategic locations of the country. Involving people of third gender in these forces will prove to be a big step towards their empowerment.
