Countdown of terror begins, Home Ministry releases list of 18 terrorists

New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a new list of terrorists, taking strict steps against terrorism on Tuesday. Under the UAPA Act, the Ministry of Home Affairs has released a list of 18 terrorists, in this list, the names of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's companions have also been included. Chhota Shakeel, Tiger Memon, who had a hand in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts, have also been included in the list.

The Central Government had amended the UAPA Act last year, under which now a person in India has also declared a terrorist. Earlier only the organization was declared as a terrorist. In a statement by the Ministry of Home Affairs, it has been said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reiterated India's resolve to fight against terrorism. Under this law, India first-named four terrorists in September 2019 and then 9 terrorists in July 2020. Now some more names have been included in it.

2. Yusuf Bhatt (LeT)
3. Abdur Rahman Makki (LeT)
4. Shaheed Mehmood (LeT)
5. Farhatullah Ghori
6. Abdul Rauf Asghar
7. Ibrahim Athar
8. Yusuf Azhar
9. Shaheed Latif
10. Mohammad Yusuf Shah (Hizbul Mujahideen)
11. Ghulam Nabi Khan (Hizbul Mujahideen)
12. Zafar Hussain Bhatt
13. Riyaz Ismail
14. Mohammad Iqbal
15. Chhota Shakeel
16. Mohammad Anees
17. Tiger Memon
18. Javed Chikna

Under the UAPA in the earlier list, India Maulana Masood Azhar, underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, Zakir ur Rehman Lakhvi and Hafiz Saeed have been declared terrorists.
