The summertime brings on a lot of skin-related issues. In this season, hot winds rob your lips of moisture. The lips begin to pucker in such a circumstance. This is the reason for the need for special lip care, even in the summer. If you suffer from chapped lips in the summer, you can make lip balm with items you already have at home. Applying this won't have any negative effects, and it will keep your lips soft.

How to make lip balm at home

aloe vera lip balm

Aloe vera has moisturizing properties and helps keep the skin soft. You can easily make lip balm using it. It helps keep the lips hydrated.

Material

1 tsp aloe vera gel, 1/2 tsp coconut oil

Recipe

Mix both aloe vera gel and coconut oil together in a small bowl and store it in a clean container. You can apply it regularly to the lips. This will keep your lips soft.

Raspberry lip balm

You don't even need to use lipstick if you have raspberry lip balm. The omega-9 oleic acid present in this fruit protects the skin from the sun and moisturizes it.

Material

1/2 tsp beeswax, 1/2 tsp dried raspberry powder, 1 to 2 tsp coconut oil

Recipe

Pour coconut oil in a pan and add beeswax to it. Now put it on the gas; when the wax melts, turn off the gas. Now add crushed raspberries to it and mix the ingredients well. You can use this balm after about 10–15 minutes.

Lemon lip balm

Material

2 tbsp coconut oil, 2 tsp beeswax, 2 tsp cocoa butter, 2 tsp almond oil, lime essential oil

Recipe

Place a double boiler on low heat. Add cocoa butter, almond oil, beeswax, and coconut oil to it, and let these ingredients melt. Now take it off the heat, add a few drops of lime essential oil, and mix it well. When this mixture cools down, keep it in a small container.
