New Delhi: Automobile company Honda is preparing to bring a new bike. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) will try to target the rural market with this new bike. It may be Honda's most affordable bike. Honda wants to increase its bike portfolio in the country, as the company wants to attract a segment of customers from both rural and urban areas.

Atsushi Ogata, who recently became the President, CEO and Managing Director of HMSI, said that the company wants to launch entry-level affordable products for rural areas. In addition, the company wants to strengthen its mid-segment range (above 150cc) and superbike portfolio to cater to individual customers. The company, which has a niche in the scooter segment of the country with products like Activa and Deo, wants to set foot in rural areas with new bikes.

Honda's new motorcycle will be under its CD110 range. Currently, the CD110 range is the company's cheapest bike. The ex-showroom price of this model in Delhi is Rs 64,505. In such a situation, the price of Honda's new bike can be less than 60 thousand rupees. Honda's new motorcycle can be launched in the competition of Hero Splendor, TVS Radeon and Bajaj CT100, TVS Victor.
