Today we are going to share with you about Honda's new car which is going to be launched in the market soon. Honda will soon launch an updated version of its city sedan on BS6 emission norms. Recently, a document obtained from Delhi RTO has revealed that Honda has got approval to take it off by the transport ministry of the capital. However, this approval is only for the petrol-manual variants of the City (SV, V, VX, ZX). A few days ago we informed you about the testing of the fifth generation model of Honda City. However, the size (dimensions) of this car registered in Delhi RTO is clear that it is the current model of Honda City. Since the company has upgraded the City's existing 1.5-liter petrol engine to the BS6 Norms, it is clear that the next-generation Honda City will also get the same petrol engine. The diesel variants of the city are not mentioned in this document. But this does not mean that the company is going to shut down the City's diesel engine. Honda has already confirmed that the company will continue selling its diesel cars even after the implementation of BS6 norms. It is expected that the BS6 diesel variants of Honda City will be launched around April 2020.

It is worth noting that apart from the diesel engine, this document does not even mention the petrol-automatic variants of the city. Let me tell you, there is an option of an automatic gearbox with three of the four variants of the city. However, only the petrol-manual variant of the city is listed in the document. Currently, the price of petrol-manual variants of Honda City starts at Rs 9.81 lakh, which goes up to Rs 12.86 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Upgrading to BS6 Norms can cost them up to Rs 30,000. Honda will introduce the city's fifth-generation model next month in Thailand. It is expected to be launched in India by mid-2020. Keep up with CarDekho for the latest updates on Honda cars.
